Recipe Update
Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough
Back to the classic taste you know and love
Why I changed it
Back to our roots.
“On January 1, 2024, we returned to the original ‘Glo’ you know and love — removing the Reb M sweetener and chicory root fiber, and bringing back everything that made it special: real-food ingredients, no aftertaste, and the flavor you remember. We made only a few minimal tweaks, listening to your feedback on the previous formula change.”
So, what changed?
Protein balance refined for a smoother, creamier taste
Mini chocolate chips for maximum chocolate in every bite
Less salt

Why does the packaging look different?
We tried something different. You told us. We went back.

What happened to the fiber?
Due to updated FDA labeling rules in 2021, IMO (isomalto-oligosaccharide — a low-calorie sweetener derived from plant starch) can no longer be counted as dietary fiber on U.S. nutrition labels — so we've removed the fiber claim. The recipe itself hasn't changed. In Canada, the same ingredient can still be listed as fiber (with product-specific approval), but U.S. labels tell a different story.
"They brought back the original, but improved version of the bars we love. I’m a Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough loyalist and I was just elated when I got my bars and they actually tasted like Magic… Thank uou for going back to your roots and bringing back the good stuff!"
