How did you hear about Raw Rev?
I thrive to keep a clean diet as a high-competitive athlete and I remember finding Raw Rev at my local health food store. The one thing that stood out to me about Raw Rev was the fact that all their bars have no refined sugar, so that was a seller for me!

Where are you from?
I'm from Durango, CO. I've lived here for 6 years, I love living in such an outdoorsy town.
-
Can you please explain to us what a Triathlete is and what you do?
I compete in Xterra triathlons. Xterra is all about Off-road triathlons-- so you swim in a lake/ocean, mountain bike, and trail run.
-
How did you get started in these sports? Did you begin as a child?
I've been a runner for 13 years and I'm 25 years old. I ran Cross-country & track all through junior high, high school, and college. Once I graduated college, I still loved running but I wanted more of a challenge and that's when I gave triathlon a try! I did my first Xterra off road triathlon in 2015, and that first one was the toughest thing I've ever done, but I was hooked! This year will be my 4th season of competing in Xterra's, and I am planning on becoming a Xterra Professional Triathlete!

What benefits do you get from Raw Rev Bars as an athlete?
Clean ingredients, I like how I'm able to eat a bar quickly as a snack before a workout, or right after a workout. I also like there's a good amount of protein in the bars as well.
-
Which is your all time favorite Raw Rev bar?
All time favorite Raw Rev bar has been the Raw Rev Glo Creamy Peanut Butter & Sea Salt bars. I love PB so of course I love the bars. I also love the fact that they have less than 6 ingredients in their bars.

What has been your favorite athletic competition that you’ve participated in?
I would say last season (2017) was such a fun year so it's hard to pick just one! But I would definitely say my two favorites are ITU Cross triathlon World Championships in Pentitcon, Canada last year because I won my first age group world title as well as I met and got to hang out with so many people from different countries, it truly was a great experience being in Canada and meeting people from lots of different countries. Another one of my favorite races would be Xterra World Championships in Maui every October, it's a fun time to take a vacation with my husband and race in the world championships, it definitely is a highlight every year!!

Would you recommend Raw Rev bars to your fellow athletes? If so, why?
Yes I would! I would recommend the bars because of the clean ingredients, high amount of protein, and easy to eat! I usually eat a bar before a swim/bike/lift session if I'm hungry and need a snack. The bars are great for afternoon snack as well as post workout snack!
